LSE-specific Questions
Q. How do I join the LSE Squash Club?
A. From the 2010/11 academic year the squash club sign-up process has changed. LSE students, staff, and alumni now purchase membership to the LSE squash club through the LSE Student's Union website at LSESU.com. See also LSESU.com squash sign up information.

Squash club membership for 2010/11 and 2011/12 costs £25 for LSE students (£50 for LSE staff and alumni). Membership allows you to place bookings with other members for free (and to play with guests after paying the appropriate guest fee). The membership period is an academic year (i.e. the academic year covering from roughly mid-September to late-September).

After joining the LSE squash club and paying the membership fees you can then request the membership permissions be added to your Squash-Central.com account. Login to your Squash-Central.com account and follow the links in "My Memberships" to submit a request for the membership policy to be added to your Squash-Central account. Once approved by the captain you will have squash court booking privileges.

Please note, you must pay the membership fee on LSESU.com before requesting the membership privileges be added to your Squash-Central account. Failure to do so will result in your request being declined and additional delay to your Squash-Central account being set up.

At the time of writing this FAQ entry, LSESU.com has a sign-up procedure for LSE students and a different procedure for Guests (i.e. LSE staff and alumni). Sign up at LSESU.com and then follow the links through Activities > Sports > Squash (again, at the time of this FAQ the address is http://www.lsesu.com/activities/ausports/clubs/squash/) where you will see options to add either

  • "Squash Standard Membership - £25.00" for LSE students, or
  • "Squash Associate Membership - £50.00" for LSE staff/alumni
to your basket. Complete check-out and then return to Squash-Central.com to request the privileges be added to your account.
