After recent optimism that squash would be put forward for the vote in Copenhagen for inclusion in the 2016 Olympics, the sport will now not even be put through to the final voting stage. Again squash has failed. Those who have followed the campaign might see a drawn-out investigation into the reasons for failure as rather pointless – it would surely throw up the same reasons squash failed to make London 2012. | There are currently four mens teams and one womens team at LSE. We play in two different leagues (BUCS and ULU), which means there are normally two matches per week. The womens team is currently the reigning ULU cup champions and Division II runner ups in the national BUCS league. Trials for the teams this year are Wednesday 7th October 1.00-2.30pm - Women 2.30-5.30pm - Mens Thursday 8th October 4.00-5.00pm - Women 5.00-6.00pm - Men Please message the squash captain for more information. |
